Rihanna Rain Catching Umbrella

Setting: A rainy afternoon in East Vancouver. Water drums steadily on the pavement outside a converted warehouse studio. The three inventors stand under the open canopy of their prototype umbrella, its channels already trickling clean water into a collection jug at their feet. The city skyline is blurred behind sheets of rain.

Rihanna: Look at it go. East Van rain doesnโ€™t play around, and this thingโ€™s already filling the jug. Free water, right out of the sky.

BKenyan: And the shade it throws even when the sunโ€™s not outโ€ฆ you can feel it. People are gonna love this in the dry months too.

Joe Jukic: Exactly. Revelation 7 says it plain: โ€œThey shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.โ€

Thatโ€™s what this umbrella is. Shade from the parching heat, and free water for anyone who needs it. No price tag on the rain.

Rihanna: (smiling as she watches the water stream into the jug) Youโ€™re quoting scripture over a patent now? I like it. Still, business is business. How we splitting the profits?

Joe: Same as we talked. I take thirty-four percent. You and BKenyan thirty-three each. Clean numbers. No leftovers to fight about later.

BKenyan: Thirty-four for the man who just turned our invention into a Bible verse. Fair enough. The rainโ€™s free, but the patent isnโ€™t.

Rihanna: Deal. Just make sure when we launch this, people know the waterโ€™s free and the shade is real. Thatโ€™s the part that matters.

They stand together under the canopy as the rain keeps falling, the jug slowly filling at their feet.

Jay Zed gets twenty-five percent for the song. That leaves us at an even twenty-five each. Me, you, BKenyan, and Jay. Clean. Fair. No leftover points to argue about.

    BKenyan:
Twenty-five across the board. Works for me. The rainโ€™s free, the waterโ€™s free, and now the splitโ€™s even.

    Rihanna:
